LBS, Inc. was founded by Thomas M. Yokoyama in 1993, he was with IBM Corporation for over 28 years.
During his IBM career, he was an Area Manager in their Federal Systems Division Air Force Contracts;
which took him to Hickam AFB, Yokota AFB, and Fuchu Air Station in Japan. Then became a Senior Project
Manager at IBM World Trade Headquarters, which sent him to the IBM subsidiaries in Korea, Japan, and
Singapore. His experience in System Engineering, Project Management, and Marketing Management then
lead him to teaching at the IBM Systems Science Institute at Los Angeles, California. He retired from
IBM in 1991; then took the position of Managing Director of Asia with Symbol Technologies, Inc. He
assisted in formulating a joint venture agreement with Olympus Camera Co., of Tokyo, Japan which then
became Olympus-Symbol and Tom was named Executive Vice-President. He returned to Honolulu in 1992 as
Symbol Technologies, Inc. Pacific Region Manager.
LBS, Inc. has extensive experience in the biometric and bar code industry. We have become the leader
in developing programs for companies in various industries, while maintaining employee’s privacy and
safety. With proper design and implementation, passwords, keys, access cards, and personal identification
numbers (PIN) can be eliminated.

LBS, Inc. is active in the bar code industry in Domestic USA and Asian Markets.
We have developed National business contacts from the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, and Singapore.
LBS has developed Hi-Tech programs for bar code scanners/terminals, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
as well as Biometric Products.
